A very welcome return from one of our favourite girl bands - a fresh young trio playing traditional and contemporary music from Scotland and beyond. Their thoughtful arrangements combine lovely vocals with fiery fiddles and piano. They play tunes from the Scottish Borders and the rest of Scotland, as well as music from America and Scandinavia and their own compositions. Just 2 years into their collaboration as Blackheart, Welsh singer Chrissy Mostyn and guitarist Rick Pilkington are widely regarded as the fastest rising stars of the new folk generation having become established for both their live concerts and their outstanding debut album ‘Indigo’.
